You will be working in the Rates Technology team in Singapore. This is a global team that develops and maintains the systems responsible in Athena for trading, price calculation, risk management and trade booking covering Interest Rate products (Futures, Bonds, Swaps etc.). Your primary clients will be Rates Trading, Quantitative Research, Operations and Technology who you will partner with to create solutions that give our business a completive advantage.
Athena is J.P. Morgan's cross-market risk management and trading system that provides functionality for traders, salespeople and operations staff globally. It is used in our foreign exchange, fixed income & credit and commodities businesses. Athena includes a globally replicated object-oriented database, a powerful dependency graph and a fully integrated stack across pricing, risk and trading tools. The code is a combination of Python and C++: C++ for speed, and Python for flexibility and rapid but controlled releases. Athena is designed to provide a continuous deployment environment, and pull developers close to the business to help increase revenues, while improving operational processes and controls to reduce costs.
We are seeking a technically strong and disciplined lead developer with excellent domain knowledge of Interest Rate markets. Working closely with be Rates Trading, Quantitative Research, Operations and Technology teams, you will deliver quality code in a fast paced environment to create analytical tools and solutions which give our business a competitive advantage.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
* Strong Interest Rate Markets domain knowledge including product, pricing and risk management.
* Ability to work in large, cross location, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
* A DevOps / SRE mindset
* Working with Agile and Continuous Delivery best practice and typical SDLC tools.
* Solid communication skills and an ability to collaborate with and influence senior business and functional stakeholders to deliver end to end solutions in a constantly changing environment.
* Eager to take ownership of work and have a real business impact, overcoming obstacles and taking tasks through to completion
* Ability to work on a large and complex cross line of business and cross regional codebase
* Proficiency in modern programming languages, python preferred
* Minimum 10 years of experience designing, building and supporting trade pricing, capture and risk management system
